It is with great sadness that the Sidmouth Literary Festival Committee has had to take the difficult decision to discontinue the Festival for 2024 and beyond.

We are so grateful to everyone who attended an event, volunteers, authors, publishers, agents, media and local businesses who have supported us over the past five years. Sadly, due to declining numbers attending events, it is not financially viable to continue. In addition, the volunteer Committee has been unable to find the number of additional volunteers required to help support the ongoing planning, fundraising and delivery of events.

 The very successful and popular How To Get Published Day will continue but will be delivered independently.
